Szperając na moim dysku znalazłem zapis z dawnych fór MSDN o Longhornie. Jednym z nich jest informacja jak zainstalować LH4074 na dysku SATA.
This is a compliation of all the hints and suggestions I've found around the net. I've just managed at last to get the in the correct order, and get it all to work.

I've also tried it using the 2 hard drives in Raid 0, and as separate drives - it worked both ways.

1) Get the floppy disk with the S-ata drivers on it.

2) Make a new file on the floppy called 'sysprep.inf' containing the following:

[SysprepMassStorage]
pci\ven_1095&dev_3112=a:\Si3112r.inf

The first part, 'pci\ven_1095&dev_3112', will be found in the txtsetup file on the drivers disk.

The second part, 'a:\Si3112r.inf' is the path of the driver inf file on the floppy.

3) Boot up from the Longhorn CD/DVD, also with the drivers floppy in the drive.

4) Press F6 when prompted to load the drivers from floppy on the Windows Preinstallation Loading Screen

5) Choose the correct driver and press enter. Then press enter again to continue loading.

6) Immediatly after step 5 start tapping on the CTRL key, this will take a few attempts I've found.

7) You will then see the message 'Loading setup, please wait', but then it will stop on a command prompt window. If it does not go to the command prompt you will need to start again until you get it right - it's tricky but does work.

8) Type 'cd..' and then enter, and then 'CD..' and then enter again. Then type 'CD sources' and then enter.

9) Type 'setup /noreboot' and then enter.

10) Setup will now start as normal, enter the Product Key, agree to the licence agreement.

11) On the next screen, you can click to choose where to install Longhorn to, click that option.

12) You must now click where is says 'Load Driver', then again click on the same driver you loaded in step 5.

13) Now create a new partition on which to install Longhorn, or format an existing partiton.

14) Make a note of the drive letter of the partition where you are installing Longhorn, this is needed later on.

15) Contine onto the next screen and it will then start to copy the files onto the hard drive.

16) At the end of the file copy it will still give the screen where it counts down to restart, it will not restart but drop you back to the command prompt.

17) Type 'x:' and then enter - where 'x' is the drive letter you have installed Longhorn you noted earlier.

18) Type 'dir.' and then enter, you should see in the listing a 'sysprep' dir. in there. If you do then thats fine, thats is just to check we're on the correct drive letter.

19) Type 'msdinst.exe a:\sysprep.inf x:\windows' and then enter - where 'x' is again the drive letter where Longhorn is installed.

20) If all has gone well and it's worked you will see a message saying 'Success! Image has been updated'

21) Type 'exit' and then enter, and then command prompt windows will close.

22) You can now reboot the pc, and it 'should' load up into the second part of Longhorn setup.

Peace dla Nicka.

w przepisach masz napisane "ciasto po pewnym czasie urośnie" czy "ciasto po pewnym czasie powinno urosnąć"?
